ONG, through its programs, classes and awareness presentations to schools, parents, educators, social workers, community groups and social service agencies seeks to
a. educate parents, teachers, community agents and concerned citizens about what gangs are, how they form and how they operate
b. advise parents about what they can do to prevent their child's involvement in gang activity
c. provide the community with useful and meaningful seminars which provide youth with the knowledge and practice to control anger, decision-making and to become productive and involved citizens early on and in sustained manner
d. encourage youth and their parents to seek lifelong and higher education
e. provide youth with resources and activities to give back to the community (various community service opportunities)
Mission and Goals
To provide meaningful, memorable, culturally relevant faith-based on-location educational presentations and seminars to West Texas/Southern New Mexico parents and youth which
aid in making educated and informed decisions about healthy and moral behavioral practices;
assist youth in developing forward-thinking attitudes about family, use of their time, their associations, their community, education and career;
encourage parents to get involved in their children's lives, their education and in community endeavors;
help individuals understand their relationship to family, community and God so that each person is able to fulfill his/her callings in life and to appropriately
understand and meet obligations to same
